May 3 - Well, hopefully, this update will get published. I have been trying for the last two (2) weeks to catch everyone up on what's happening.  The last update I posted was lost in translation so I'm at it again.

Things are finally settling into a routine.  I go to Rick's every morning to work, then to  lunch and finally home.  I go out to dinner several nights a week - either with Rick or with some of Lisa's friends.  I have been to a lot of different restaurants - some really good and some not so good.  I'll try to post some reviews later on for your reading pleasure.

Jessi finally moved into the condo last Saturday.  Rick, a former co-worker of Jessi's and his son, me, Aunt Marty and Jessi's boyfriend (this is a story for another time) helped in the move.  We worked from 10 in the morning until 1:30 in the afternoon.  Jessi then treated all of us to hot dogs at the Biscuit Factory.  As my mother always said, the Biscuit Factory has the best hot dogs in High Point and they didn't disappoint this time.

Jessi has done a wonderful job getting the condo painted and updated for the way she wants it.  The color schemes and new itmes such as a chandelier and wall clock for the dining room are really great as is the new furniture items she got such as the antique sideboard also for the dining room.  Her Aunt Marty was a great help to her during this process.  I believe Jessi has inherited Lisa's eye for the unique and unusual and makes it all come together.

April 24th would have been Mother's 88th birthday.  Rick and I took Aunt Daris (Mother's sister-in-law) to Becky and Mary's Soul Food Restaurant for a lunch of fried chicken (Mother's favorite food).  Mother loved the fried chicken from Becky and Mary's.  We had a wonderful lunch reminiscing about Mother.

I hope to post some photos of my apartment soon, so please feel free to check back.  I'll do this as soon as I can figure out how to get the photos added to website.  In the meantime, please feel free to sign my guestbook.  I'm still trying to get the Email working so I can respond directly from the website.  Jessi has said she has a friend that can help with this.

I'm looking forward to being in Arlington for the dinner on the 14th of May and have already booked my hotel reservations.  It will be great to see everyone again.
